Meet the Optometrist

Daren Oppenheimer was born in Houston, Texas and raised in Key West, Florida where he graduated from Key West High School in 1986. He received a B.S in Vision Science from the University of Florida and then transferred to Nova Southeastern Optometric school receiving Doctors of Optometry degree in 1996. Dr. Daren Oppenheimer has been practicing in Key West, Florida for the last 20 plus years and is trained in the most up to date advancements in eye care. He is committed to providing all patients the highest quality treatment and service. When he is not working, he enjoys fishing, biking, spearfishing, tennis, golf, and spending time with his family.

Stephen Oppenheimer was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and raised in Miami, Florida where he graduated Coral Gables High School in 1963. He received a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Florida and then transferred to the University of Houston for Optometric school receiving Doctors of Optometry degree in 1971. Dr. Stephen Oppenheimer practiced in Miami, Florida for one year and moved to Key West, Florida where he has practiced general and medical optometry for 40 plus years and continues to provide exceptional eye care to this day. He currently serves as a board member with The Lion’s Club of the Florida Keys. When he is not working, he’s spending his day on the boat fishing and diving.
